Our Mission
To offer educational and training opportunities to assist individuals and organizations in the work of improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency in 1991 as an outgrowth of the annual statewide Supported Life Conference, the Institute was formed in recognition of the ongoing needs which have been expressed by people with disabilities, families and service providers for quality and relevant trainings which incorporate the values and principles of the concept of supported life.

That our communities will value, include and support everyone, including people with disabilities, and will assist in meeting the changing needs and desires of each person.
We all need support in life, and that support comes from many sources.
The community has an obligation to support all of its members.
The beauty and strength of a community grows out of its diversity.
